Bombardment is an ability that is only used by the class Rowena in Heroes of Gwen. It was added along with the beta release on June 15th, 2017.

Statistics Edit

When dropping the held item or clicking the nether star item in the eighth hotbar slot, the ability is activated.

You are being teleported 15 blocks up, and a barrier block is placed below you. You can not move but look around freely.

Your bow is replaced with a diamond horse armour item, which can be used to fire explosive shots by right-clicking. They are always dealing 10 damage (HeartHeartHeartHeartHeart) if an opponent is inside of the hitbox of 5 blocks. Similar to the Light Arrows, the ability has a range of 40 blocks, however, the shots are launched instantaneously.

The ability ends after 10 seconds or if 3 shots were fired.

Strategies Edit

With Edit

If players are near you, it is effective to shoot quickly to kill them before they can escape or you have to retarget. Two shots are enough to kill a player if they have bought no armour. With the powerful damage, Bombardment can be used to easily finish strong melee classes.

Against Edit

If Rowena activates her ultimate ability, you can do nothing but flee as quickly as possible. Remember to not run along one line but rather randomized so keeping the target at you is more difficult. Try to evade the explosion or hide behind a wall, so that the shots are blocked.

Trivia Edit

  • When equipping the focused armour set, the recharge time can be lowered from 60 seconds to 42 seconds
  • The ability deals no damage to the towers nor to the Wither
