Burn Beam is an ability used by the class Anath the Burnt in Heroes of Gwen. It was added along with the Beta release on June 15, 2017.

When dropping the held item or clicking the fire charge item in the second hotbar slot, the ability is activated.
You send out a 10 block high wall of flame and lava particles that progresses forwards in the direction you were facing. The wall goes forwards for around 20 blocks before stopping. The wall deals roughly 14 damage (
) to any player caught in it. Any minion caught in gets instantly killed. The damage dealt doesn't change with the distance the beam progresses.

If you are running away from someone and need to take them down easily, quickly switch to the second inventory slot, turn around towards your enemy and fire the Burn Beam. This ability is very powerful in combination with the Flame Wand ability. If you fire your Flame Wand at the enemy immediately after using Burn Beam, this can kill them easily. This ability is also very good at taking down minions, as it one-hit kills them.
Against[]
There are not many strategies against this ability, as the only sign that it is coming is if your enemy is holding the fire charge in his hand. If you see that, just run away. If you get hit by a Burn Beam, immediately move away from the Anath, and preferably run away to your base or somewhere else to recuperate and gain health again.

- This ability deals no damage to Towers, but damages the Wither.
