Preferences, access via the command /prefs, is a Game Command in Mineplex that was added around June 9th, 2014. It is represented by a Redstone Comparator, and replaces the previous commands of Hub Stacker and Hub Player Visibility in the player's hotbar while adding new ones. It can be activated by either clicking its icon in the lobby or typing /prefs in the chat.

Once activated, the player will be led to a menu that allows them to change their settings in Mineplex. An icon that represents the setting will be shown, along with either lime or grey dye below it, depending on if it's enabled or not. Clicking on either the icon or the dye will enable/disable the setting.

Available Preferences[]

Preference Icon Function Notes
Hub Ignore Velocity Saddle Prevents the player from being affected by Cosmetics or Stacker. Exclusive to Immortal, YouTube and Builders up.
Forcefield Slimeball Toggles whether other players are bounced away when they get too close to the player. Useful when the player is being "mobbed" by others. Exclusive to select YouTubers that have been officially registered with Mineplex, as well as Admins and up. Forcefield name is just a placeholder.
Hub Invisibility Nether Star Toggles whether other players are able to see the player. Useful when trying to be unnoticeable. Similar to Hub Player Invisibility, except it completely erases the player's presence anywhere. Exclusive to select YouTubers that have been officially registered with Mineplex, as well as Admins and up.
Hub Party Requests Player Head Toggles whether other players can use the /party command to request to party (join a group) with the player. The player can still use this command even if they have it disabled.
Hub Player Visibility Eye of Ender Toggles the player's visibility to other players; other players that still have this setting enabled will still be able to see the player.
Hub Stacker Fire Charge Toggles the lobby game Stacker. If disabled, players cannot pick up or throw other players; likewise, they cannot do the same.
Player Chat Paper When disabled, the player cannot see what other players are publicly saying; others players that still have this setting enabled will still be able to see what the player is saying. This affects the player ingame as well as in the lobby. Command prompts not disabled.
Private Messaging Empty Map Toggles whether other players can use the /tell command to privately message the player. The player can still use this command even if they have it disabled.
Show Pending Friend Requests Poppy Toggles whether players will be able to see their pending friend requests.
